With the
Auckland English Academy’s TESOL Tactics programme, you’ll gain confidence in
how to tackle an English language teaching assignment.
You’ll find
out where to start, how to plan and how to present an effective programme.
You’ll get first hand experience
of being up in front of a group of people, explaining, leading and monitoring
games, songs and other fun communication activities.
You’ll also have the chance
to put yourself in your students' shoes by struggling and
laughing your way through two communication activities taught entirely in a
foreign language.
You’ll have
the knowledge, skills and confidence to work alongside experienced teachers and make a valuable
contribution.
And you’ll
be able to achieve this in just 3 weeks of evening classes.
The
Auckland English Academy’s TESOL Tactics seminar is designed for people whose
first language is English.
If English
is not your first language, you will need an IELTS score of at least 7.00
overall. If you don’t have IELTS 7.00,
then the Auckland English Academy’s TESOL English Instructor 5-Week course
could be better for you.
For TESOL
Tactics, you do not need to be a qualified teacher or have formal educational
qualifications. You do need to have a
genuine interest in working with children.
You need patience, a positive personality, and, above all, a keen sense
of humour.
TESOL
Tactics is not a formal academic course.
It’s an activities-based course full of practical tips and step-by-step
strategies developed by experienced teachers who have an in-depth understanding
of this field.
TESOL
Tactics is ideal for JET (Japan Exchange Teacher) participants, for people intending to teach children in Korea or Japan, or for people who
are hoping to teach English informally while they are traveling overseas.
It’s also an inspiring refresher course for people who
have completed formal TESOL qualifications in past years.
