Meet our staff touch rugby team
I am proud to introduce Auckland English Academy’s first ever social touch rugby team. Touch rugby is a team sport which helps to improve your fitness, co-ordination, speed, movement, decision making and sportsmanship. It also helps to encourage self confidence, friendships and team building. Our season kicked off on the 21st of October and although many of the team had never played or even heard of touch rugby, they all played with a lot of heart and determination. We have had a total of four games so far and although we are still seeking a win, we continue to improve every time on the score board, not to mention having lots of fun in the process. I could not be more proud of the team for trying something new and giving it their all on the field. Every week we will get stronger and will continue to hunt for the win that we are all aiming for. We play every Monday at Victoria Park Our game times change each week and if you are available we invite you to come along and support our team. We look forward to the rest of the season, and to seeing you all there.
